"My Ozark Garden"
A wash of sun and shadow;
The flutter of bright wings;
A riot of hosta and cascading geraniums
and tousled asters...
      Monet would love it here!

Lily Kerns shares her award winning patterns and relaxed goof-proof approach to paper piecing. To learn more about the original quilt made by the Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild, click here

"Ozark Garden" focuses on creative use of color, value and pattern to create a wash of sunlight and shadow around a secluded garden pool. The quilts you make will be uniquely your own in this creative two part series.

Ozark Garden I: Make a "Garden Sampler" wall hanging from the seven blocks of Part I or combine them with the seven blocks of Part II .

Ozark Garden II: The second class of the series continues with more complex blocks and directions for a larger wall hanging or full size quilt. Register now for both classes and receive a set of related patterns which may be used as the centerpiece of your full sized quilt or for a coordinating third wall hanging, "Hummingbird Heaven".

Skill level: The first lesson patterns are easy; later patterns are moderately complex. Paper piecing experience helpful, but not required.

Cost:
Ozark Garden I: Four lessons, $30. Begins October 15.
Ozark Garden II: Four lessons, $30. Begins January 15, 2001
